It will be a center , which will be built in the home of the famous composer and pianist Wojciech Kilar, who died in 2013. The Kilar House Music Education Center will combine a museum function, where visitors will be able to learn about the life and work of Wojciech Kilar. Items belonging to him – a piano, manuscripts, books or furniture – will be left behind. And an educational exhibition devoted to music is to be located in the added part. But it will also be used to organize musical events, such as recitals, workshops or mini-festivals
The Music Education Center is to be a tribute to the composer, but at the same time a gem of the city of Katowice.
