We are pleased to announce that we have completed the complex project of the Music Education Center “Kilar’s House” in Katowice. The building has been put into use and provides modern facilities for the planned permanent exhibition dedicated to Wojciech Kilar – an outstanding composer associated with Katowice.
The new space was created at 165 Kosciuszko St. – partly in a modernized villa of the composer, and partly in a newly built building with a glass connector. The facility combines museum and educational functions – it will eventually house an interactive exhibition, a multimedia room and workshop and concert spaces.
As part of our work, we carried out the overall architectural and construction project and supervised the execution of the building. The installed 24 kW photovoltaic installation is an example of a responsible approach to ecology in the design of public utility architecture.
